MACS Software Limited, a developer of software specialising in improving the efficiency and management of manufacturing & logistics companies worldwide.

Position: Software developer, based at Lutterworth (adjacent to junction 20 of the M1 motorway).

Reporting to: The Directors of MACS Software

Requirements: We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a good level of education (Degree level or equivalent) to join the Company as a Software Developer. Key skills required include:

• Excellent numeracy and IT skills
• A good knowledge of object orientated languages (e.g. C# or Java)
• A good knowledge of front end design and web technologies including HTML5, CSS, Javascript / Typescript, JQuery, Angular 2, Electron, ASP.NET – NET Core 2 experience would be an advantage.
• A good level of database skills (e.g. SQL and/or Advantage)
• Experience of Agile processes, Source Code Management (e.g. SVN, GIT, TFS) and Test Driven Development would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of the warehousing environment and warehouse management systems would be of particular benefit
• Personable, confident and able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines to meet customer expectations.
• Must be able to work both independently and as part of the team.

Responsibilities:

Main duties to include:

• Development of application software to pre-written specifications using MACS standard libraries and programming techniques
• Production of associated documentation: e.g. program notes, system user instructions, database definitions, version release notes, test plans etc.
• Unit and Functional testing of product developed prior to handover
• Other tasks associated with the running of the business e.g. reporting, data migration, testing, site visits etc.
• Carry out any task that the company deems appropriate as a result of changing business circumstances and be flexible in order to adapt to the constantly changing needs of the business
• To work to the company management system at all times e.g. ISO9001

Salary: By negotiation (£20-30k), subject to experience
