Our client seeks to recruit a Head of IT Procurement to lead a spend profile in excess of £500m. This is an exciting opportunity to take a key role as part of the CPO's Leadership Team, supporting a journey of Procurement Transformation, in line with a significant and complex Business re-organisation programme.

Role:
The Head of IT Procurement will be responsible for the continued development of the IT and Technology Procurement capability covering the Hardware, Infrastructure, Security, Networks and Telecoms categories. The jobholder will have responsibility for leading relationships with the IT board and the CIO. By engaging and influencing executive level stakeholders, the Head of IT Procurement will ensure that the IT Procurement function is positioned as a strategic advisor to the business. As a key figure within the CPO's leadership team, the jobholder will be a driving force in the development of Procurement strategy, framework and processes and for a function with a total spend remit in excess of £bn p/a. In turn the jobholder will develop a high performing team of Procurement Managers, Senior Buyers and Buyers to deliver an efficient sourcing capability across the Indirect spend portfolio.

Your goal is to deliver a high-level, pro-active, valuable and efficient procurement service to this leading UK FTSE 100 business.

Experience:
Candidates will present current experience of operating in a 'Head of' capacity, with demonstrable team management expertise and a strong IT and Technology procurement background

- Ability to lead the design and implementation of IT sourcing strategies across a spend portfolio in excess of £500m
- Track record of leading and motivating high performing teams
- Ability to design and implement appropriate procurement processes, procedures and performance measures
- Experience of driving business adherence to corporate procurement policy
- Collaborative and persuasive; able to influence at all levels up to and including CXO and Main Board
- Excellent academic profile, ideally with MCIPS accreditation
