One of our local, exclusive clients is looking for an IT SysAdmin who is keen to join an industry leading R&D organisation based in Central Cardiff. You will be responsible for the IT needs of the 80 users within the Cardiff office. This will include computer hardware, software and networking solutions, and other technical needs of the organisation. As the SysAdmin, you must have a strong understanding of testing installing, configuring and troubleshooting technology components including Windows, MAC, Linux, LAN, WAN and Active Directory. As part of this process, you will be required to create documentation, diagrams and other technical artefacts to help employees make the best use of the company`s technology solutions.

As the successful IT System Administrator, you will play a vital role in the company, ensuring users can continue building great software and ensuring operations continue to run efficiently for maximum productivity. Main responsibilities in this role will include;

- Escalate IT issues to the IT Manager where necessary
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Undertake small to medium-sized IT Projects as instructed by the IT Manager
- Provide desktop and server support
- Support and maintain Server/ Desktops and corporate IT Solutions
- Setting up and configuring new laptops, desktops, phones and other equipment
- Install authorised software to laptops and desktops
- Ensuring security patches, anti-virus and system upgrades are applied and kept up to date
- Other duties as determined by management
- Anti-virus installation to all desktops and laptops
- Fault-finding to laptops and desktops.
