What’s involved in the role?
Lots of training and support! We are looking for innovative individuals to join our team of skilled software developers. The main purpose of this role is to develop high end software products eventually helping others do the same.
As a junior .NET developer at Computershare you would be actively involved in the full development stack, from our SQL Server database layer, to our C# business layer, and our web front end. You would be also be instrumental in the full development life cycle, working with our business analysts to gather requirements, right through to developing, testing and deploying software.
In addition you will be expected to contribute to the developer community, which aims to promote innovation, knowledge sharing and industry best practice within the department. You also have the responsibility to ensure that (with the support of your line manager) you keep abreast of the latest technology trends, tools and practices and share your knowledge with the rest of the department.
Who are we looking for?
Typically the person we are looking for would be able to demonstrate some of the following skills and experience:
·Intermediate understanding and experience of a high level object oriented programming language.
·Good web development skills with experience in technologies such as:
·HTML5, JQuery, Knockout, Bootstrap…
·Responsive/ Mobile First web design
We are open to using new technology and so an ability and willingness to learn new skills quickly will be advantageous, as well as the drive to experiment, pioneer and prototype new ideas that would benefit the business.
