We are a market leader within our industry, seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our skilled team.

The successful Supplier Quality Engineer will have the following main duties:
Vendor Selection:
Ensuring that all new products are evaluated prior to being incorporated into production, where appropriate through the use of FAI Reports, APQP and PPAP systems
Organise and lead supplier quality related visits and carry out supplier validation audits

Vendor Management:
Managing supplier performance monitoring and develop action / activities for improving poor performing suppliers and driving improvement through the use of corrective action plans
Collate and evaluate supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities within the supply chain

Non-conformance Investigation and Implementation of Corrective Action:
Coordinate with suppliers in relations to concern findings for nonconforming product / defective material ensuring the supplier develops and implements permanent engineering solutions to non-conformance
Co-ordinate activity with suppliers on product returns and support warranty activities including cost recovery
Analyse concerns and implement appropriate actions / controls and drive improvements
Provide point of contact for concern investigations / resolution for supplier concerns

Quality Functions:
Contribute to the development of our Quality Management System and will be expected to participate in all quality initiatives
Reporting on key performance indicators as defined by business requirements and communicate data to the manufacturing departments to facilitate continuous improvement
To lead and support internal quality improvements for both operations and warranty issues with view implementing effective corrective actions
Contribute to maintaining a high level of housekeeping and attention to health and safety issues so as to create a healthy and safe working environment.
Willingly carry out any other duties deemed appropriate by the company
