Compliance Officer looking for a new permanent opportunity? My client the RLSS UK are looking for a Compliance Officer to join their team in Worcester.

Job Purpose:

To support the Head of Compliance in monitoring compliance and developing other staff members in the importance of maintaining a strong level of compliance and exceeding relevant regulators’ conditions and requirements.

To uphold regulatory standards from the Approved Training Centres and Trainer Assessors to strengthen IQL compliance with regulators.

The Compliance Officer will support the general administration duties required within the department.

Key Tasks:

Support qualification compliance and risk registers for regulatory organisations.
Support IQL UK with general administration support.

Role and Responsibilities

To demonstrate and uphold the Society’s values and behavioural standards at all times.
Be aware of developments within the education, skills and leisure areas which provide potential opportunities and risks.
Support the Head of Compliance with the preparation and submission of IQL qualifications for accreditation to regulators as required and support with submission of statistics to regulators.
Support the Head of Compliance in the development and implementation of IQL policies, procedures, IT systems and guidance to support and sustain regulatory compliance.
Support the regional audit team with management of the quality assurance of Approved Training Centres and Trainer Assessors.
Daily management of Approved Training Centre and/or Trainer Assessor performance with regards to malpractice and/or maladministration.
Support the Head of Compliance with the management of any compliance related IT systems and produce reports from the monitoring systems as required.
Identify any risks to regulatory compliance within our own standards and report accordingly.
To keep up to date with changes and to take advantage of learning opportunities to develop skills, expertise and knowledge.
Attend compliance team meetings.
Complete general administration duties to include, but not limited to:
Customer enquiries
Course/event administration
Administration support to IQL UK team members
Data processing and analysis

Knowledge of IQL and RLSS UK qualifications
Awareness of qualification Awarding Organisation requirements, systems and compliance
Knowledge of education funding and the agencies that support funding
Knowledge of a range of assessment methodologies

Hours: 35 Hours a week.
Salary: Circa £18,000
