Unqualified rate: £20,155 - £29,037 pro rata

Qualified rate: £23,178 - £33,340 pro rata

The Department of Enterprise and Digital Industries requires a lecturer with experience in the computing and gaming industry. You will be required to teach across BTEC Extended Diploma levels, equivalent to A- Levels with possibility of some level 2 input.

Although not essential it is desirable for you to have a degree in a relevant Computing or Games Development subject, and /or relevant industry experience. You will need to be familiar with industry standard software such as Autodesk (Maya or 3DSMax) and Adobe (Photoshop) creative suites as well as with games engine software such as Unreal Engine 4.

Previous experience of teaching Computer Games Programming C; C++ is essential.

You should have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to engage young people aged 16-19. You will either possess or be willing to achieve an advanced level teaching qualification, which will be supported financially in full by the College. A passion for new technologies would be advantageous.
