Are you passionate about supporting people with dementia and their carers? Pennine Lancashire has been chosen by The Society to adopt a new enhanced approach to reach more people and ensure that the lives of people living with dementia are improved. They are doing this through a new approach to delivering their specialist information, advice and support through their Dementia Connect Service and making it available to every person who receives a diagnosis of dementia, and their carers. They have a vacancy for a Dementia Adviser to provide a highly responsive, individualised information and signposting service to people with dementia and their families. They are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and people skills to provide information and support to people with dementia and their carers, helping to maintain their independence, improving their sense of well-being and putting them in more control of their lives. About you: With a relevant NVQ Level 3 or have equivalent skills and experience. You will have exellent organisational skills and good understanding of basic IT, alongside the ability to work within a busy service environment. Ideally you will possess an in depth understanding of the needs of people with dementia and their carers. You must also have the ability to manage several tasks at once and keep yourself motivated to perform to meet deadlines.
