Job title: Arboriculturalist/Senior Arboriculturalist

Location: London

Salary: Competitive, DOE

Job Summary:

Experienced arboriculturalist in London? Looking to widen your experience in a large consultancy, working closely in-house across disciplines? Or simply wanting to join up with a team working on major infrastructure projects?

We have a rare opportunity for an Arboriculture specialist in London, working within the 60-plus ecology team of a built asset consultancy, with a strong arboriculture presence.

You will have the opportunity to conduct and co-ordinate arb surveys and provide advice to clients on masterplanning, arb mitigation and enhancement and ecosystem services.

Projects include a range of residential development, transport and infrastructure schemes with power companies, the Environment Agency, TfL, Highways England, Network Rail, and a variety of Local Authority and Public Sector work. While based in the central London office, your workload will see you travelling throughout the UK to visit sites and collaborate with colleagues from other regional offices.

What will I be doing?

This is ideal for a candidate looking to gain experience managing the full cycle of arboriculture projects and providing advice and mitigation. You will also contribute as part of a wider team on larger work packages.

Experience surveying and reporting under the BS5837 2012 standards for development, and authoring associated AIA and AMS reports is needed, and you should be confident in providing general arb advice to clients. Many sites may require bat roost site inspections, so prior experience of this would be an advantage.

Our client is keen to hear from candidates with at least level 5 arboriculture qualification (i.e. FdSc, BSc or PDArb) who can demonstrate continued effort to develop their arb careers as a part of the Arboricultural Association or ICF. You should also hold the LANTRA Professional Tree Inspector and CS38 certificates too.

However, most importantly you'll have a desire to develop yourself in a leading multidisciplinary, and an ability to communicate effectively and positively with a wide range of colleagues and clients. If this is you, then get in touch today!
