Our client, based in Banbury, is looking for a temp to perm Supply Chain Forecaster/Buyer to join their fantastic team.

Your primary responsibilities will be to ensure the suppliers deliver the correct amount of stock, at the correct cost, within agreed lead times, taking into account back orders and lost sale priorities.

Key responsibilities:-

- Support and maintain the Company's purchasing strategy to meet objectives and KPI's
- Raise spot and purchase orders schedules on time to enable good services to be delivered/received.
- Forecasting, ROP's (Components level) and liaising with PM on political ROP's
- Support introduction of new parts/projects
- Purchase non-stocked items as requested within authorising guidelines
- To source quotes and organise collection of goods/services when applicable and from the most cost/time effective source.
- Keep purchasing records accurate and up to date
- Developing and maintaining good vendor relationships and enhancing the reputation of the Company
- Ensure all orders are chased and delivered to the lead time/delivery time stated
- Analyse and take necessary actions to ensure customer back order are kept to a minimum
- Be accountable for stock holding and of non-stocked items
- Liaise with Operations, Accounts, Sales departments and suppliers regarding day-to-day issues
- Resolve delivery conflicts with suppliers
- Attend meetings and travel as required
- Comply with the Data Protection Act 1998
- Follow procedures for all Quality Standards (ISO9001 & 14001, TS16949 & AS/EN9120)
- Actively participate in QRQC daily and encourage others to participate

The ideal candidate will be:-

- Organised and have high attention to detail
- Work well within a team
- Have 2-3 years of working in an office environment
- Good computer skills including Excel
- Purchasing background with knowledge of MRP system

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am - 4.30pm. Pay rate ranging from £11.05 per hour to £12.98 per hour depending on experience.
