Events and Marketing Manager Our client, a leading transatlantic business organisation dedicated to helping companies build their businesses on both sides of the Atlantic, has a unique opportunity for an Events and Marketing Manager to join their team. This role is not only offers a fantastic opportunity to join a great team but also to work with senior executives from a range of companies, from SMEs to top-level multinationals at the highest levels.

Role Summary:

Your principal task will be to manage, develop and implement the events programme as well as create and implement marketing plans for a wide range of activities, including but not limited to; CEO Briefings & Roundtables, Social & Policy events, Chairman's Lunches and International Advisory Board Dinners.

This role would be ideally suited to someone currently working as an Events Assistant / Coordinator (or equivalent) who has the necessary skills outlined below but is looking to develop them.


Events Programme Organisation

- Coordinating all aspects of events, including: arranging speakers and briefing notes, venue preparation, design / print briefings and distribution, catering, branding, photographers / videographers and entertainment
- Coordinate digital material and output with the Communications team
- Maintain registration system, register delegates and ensure database is updated with event attendance
- Running each event on the day and managing the onsite team

- Investigate cost-cutting procedures to make events more cost effective
- Assist with forecasting and actual budgets for each programme
- Assist in producing invoices and chase outstanding debtors


- Identify and close sponsorship opportunities
- Help develop sponsorship packages and work with sponsoring companies to ensure contract fulfilment
- Build relationships with potential and existing sponsors

Publicity and Marketing

- Produce and disseminate event e-mail invitations using web based application and monitor responses
- Manage marketing plans and enrich promotional ideas to further raise awareness of the events programme
- Develop external approaches and new audience target lists for events
- Research and negotiate listings of events in external calendars

Key Skills:


- Minimum of two years' experience in events management
- Excellent organisation / management skills, specifically; time, groups, projects and stakeholders
- Excellent communicator (verbal and written)
- Experience of handling, maintaining and cleansing data
- Comfortable working autonomously and under pressure


- Previous experience in a not-for-profit or membership organisation
- Sponsorship and sales experience
- Team player with strong collaboration skills
