Head of Communications and Marketing, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, £competitive salary and pension

Our company brand was developed within the last year in order to respond to an exciting and significant series of merger and acquisitions of like-minded Housing Associations in the North East of England. After some considerable work on developing the brand, we are really proud of what we have achieved. We have a strong brand and reputation that our stakeholders and customers are accepting, recognising and expecting big things from. Now it is time to build on this solid foundation to help the company achieve its five year business strategy. Within this strategy, reputation and customer engagement are key aims, and building and executing a communications and marketing strategy that will deliver on these aims will be central to the success of our business.

The role

The role will be responsible for the brand positioning, reputational growth and management.
Leading a team of channel and audience experts, with a focus on internal communications, external affairs, customer communications (and engagement), new business marketing and digital communications.
Driving significant strategic change initiatives to support evolution of the company Brand, customer and stakeholder engagement and tone of voice.
You will lead collaborative business partnering within the organisation in order to develop strategic communications, external affairs and marketing plans.

The person

You will be a strategic thinking communications and marketing professional.
A strong record of demonstrable achievement, at Head of Communications and Marketing level in an organisation of comparable size and complexity.
Experience in developing and delivering effective communications, marketing (new business), Brand, digital communications and marketing, Public Affairs, Stakeholder and Internal Communications strategies. •
Experience of establishing and monitoring key measures and KPIs to demonstrate impact of Comms and marketing function and related activities/campaigns
Experience of managing a business partnering approach
Experience of managing significant organisational change
Experience of working in partnership with stakeholders to build influence
