This Bidford-on-Avon based firm of solicitors is looking to recruit an experienced Legal Cashier to handle all cashiering responsibilities for the firm using Proclaim/Eclipse accounting systems.

Founded 30 years ago, they are a firm dealing with business and private clients mainly in the areas of commercial, conveyancing, wills and probate. They believe in a friendly personal service and getting the job done quickly, efficiently and pragmatically.

Job description:
- All general cashier duties - i.e. daily banking, cheques, payments etc. allied to coordination of day to day general managerial functions
- All aspects of payroll / billing / credit control
- VAT returns
- Preparation of information for tax returns - liaise with accountants
- Preparation of weekly/monthly management info
- Updating computer systems re new files/dead files etc.
- Clear, accurate and concise reporting skills

The applicant must have:
- Proficiency and experience in using Proclaim Accounts Package is preferred. Training is available to update knowledge.
- A thorough understanding of the SAR
- Ability to carry out online banking using Lloyds Link terminal
- Impeccable references required covering both ability and honesty
- Excellent technical and IT skills
- An ability to be flexible and accommodating working as a member of the team

The successful candidate:
- Must be a Legal Cashier with a minimum of 3 years' experience
- Specialist legal accounts qualification (AAT Qualified or ILFM Diploma) would be advantageous
- Will be a self-starter needing low level supervision in the performance of day to day responsibilities
- Will be meticulously organised
- Will report to the senior partner

Working hours
8.30am - 5pm. One hour for lunch.
