Lead the way in ICT

Are you an IT expert with leadership skills?

Wrexham County Borough Council are looking for a multi-skilled technical leader to deliver key corporate, departmental and service priorities.

Alongside the ICT Lead, you will determine how the council’s ICT infrastructure will be designed and delivered. You will manage the resources and staff of the ICT Infrastructure team in line with the Council’s evolving transformation priorities and ICT Strategies, including cloud migration. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the council’s ICT infrastructure and be expected to provide 3rd line technical support on network, security and server issues.

Join our fast-moving ICT environment and help to reshape the service for our employees and customers over the next few years. Our team supports a wide range of technologies, and experience of Firewall management, Microsoft Server, Cisco WAN, LAN & Wireless technologies would be beneficial to this role, as would a knowledge of VMWare and other security solutions.

Grow your career and foster new skills in an environment that is large enough to offer career growth and small enough to develop individual skills. At Wrexham County Borough Council we employ around 6,000 people in a wide range of roles. We rely on our employees to deliver high quality services and in return we offer rewarding career opportunities.

For an informal discussion contact David Jacobs, ICT Lead, on 01978 292302.

For an application pack, please contact the Human Resources Service Centre, Guildhall, Wrexham, LL11 1AY, by telephone on 01978 292012/ Text Relay 18001 01978 292012, by clicking the 'Apply' button or download and complete the PDF application form on the web page.

The Council is committed to developing its bilingual workforce and welcomes applications from candidates who demonstrate their capability to work in both English and Welsh.

Wrexham Council welcomes applications from suitably qualified candidates regardless of race, gender, disability, sexuality, religious belief or age.
