CMM Quality Inspector
Our client based in the Leicestershire area, a specialist precision engineering and cnc machining company manufacturing machined components and turned parts with cnc milling is looking to recruit a CMM/Quality Inspector to help with their growing inspection department. The Role As CMM/Quality Inspector you will have at least 2-3 years' experience, will also have undertaken a modern machining apprenticeship or be time served.
You will have experience of using hand held measuring equipment; Verniers/micrometres/depth gauges/height gauges, Vision non contact and Tesa height gauges etc You will also have at least 3 years experience of operating and programming CMM's. You must be able to work as part of a team in a machine shop environment. You must also be able to understand and interpret Mechanical/Engineering drawings including geometrics’ etc. The CMM Inspector will be responsible for: • 1st off Inspection (provide feedback and communication to the machine shop) • In process inspection • Final Inspection (FAIR) • (Including all supporting documentation for the above) • Visual sign off’s of completed batches • Maintaining inspection equipment calibration internally and externally Personal Attributes: • Good interpersonal skills (able to converse at all levels within the company) • Attention to detail • Ability to work on own initiative and work with minimal supervision, • Be a good team player • Be flexible as overtime will be required, may be required to work outside the inspection environment when required. • Work well under pressure You will be required to work: Mon to Fri 07:00 to 15:30 (40hr week) Salary negotiable dependent on experience.
