Position: Trainer/Assessor
Salary: £18,000 - £25,000 dependant on experience
Type: Full time/Permanent

The Vedas Group is a leading provider of careers guidance services, employability programmes, training, recruitment and business support programmes.

We require an experienced Trainer/Assessor to join our growing training department.

The Candidate

You will have experience gained from a similar role and will possess a proven track record in successfully coaching and developing individuals along with designing and implementing training programmes. You will have the ability to conduct training needs analysis at employer and employee levels and have a pro-active 'hands on’ approach. You will also have an aptitude for Microsoft Excel and database software.

  • Excellent communication skills at different levels - from stakeholders to learners
  • Ability to build relationships and ability to effectively influence others
  • A friendly/helpful nature - engages learners and is approachable
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Experience in the delivery of functional skills as part of the individuals programme of learning
  • Confident at delivering training and presenting to groups
  • Experience of delivering training, creating material and carrying out Training Needs Analysis
  • Ability to transfer technical/industry knowledge into easy to understand training
  • Passion for learning and developing others
  • Experience of evaluation processes and promoting continuous improvement
  • Capability of handling difficult situations/conversations
  • Understanding of a range of funded training programmes (i.e. ESF, AEB)
  • You will have good standards of Literacy and Numeracy


  • A Vocational Achievement as an assessor (D32/D33/A1/TAQA)
  • Experience delivering training in several occupational areas
  • Experienced at working out in the field across multi-site operations
  • You will have occupational competence in one or more of the following subject areas:
  • Business Improvement Techniques/Lean Manufacturing
  • Team Leading and Management
  • Retail
  • Customer Service
  • Business Administration
  • Sales
  • Information, Communication Technology
