Adecco is working with one of the leading distributors of IT, communication and home entertainment products in the UK They represents over 180 manufacturers in the UK alone spanning more than 38,000 products across mobile, computing and accessories, consumer electronics, gaming, print, networking, servers and solutions, unified communications and AV solutions.

They have recently relocated their business from London to Harlow to their state of the art building, and is looking to find talented individuals to move the company forward through its next stage of growth.

Role Overview
The client is looking for a Sales Manager to work on all operational and process aspects for the sales team, including management and responsibility of the Sales Support team to ensure operational excellence. Dealing with Internal Sales & Supply Chain.

Salary and Bonus
The client is offering a salary of between £26-40k including additional a bonus opportunity that is very achievable and has a potential to double in most cases

Key Requirements
- To achieve Operational & Sales Targets as set by the Sales Management Team, within the agreed time scales.
- To ensure that operational & sales activities are co-ordinated, between Sales Support and Sales
- Ensure operational excellence and ensure information is entered correctly into Merlin for orders, delivery, RMA, cancellations and disputes.
- To escalate personnel matters within your team, to the Internal Sales Manager.
- Maintain a professional standard at all times.
- To be punctual, maintain dress standards, be polite and courteous to customers at all times.

Role Duties
- Operational excellence through consistent management of:
- Management of day to day tasks such as order, credit and general approvals
- Daily reporting of call statistics, pipeline and order actions
- Order and backorder management
- Customer specific management including pricing and delivery groups
- Customer portfolio preparation for Sales management review. Including GAP analysis, spend trends, credit review and dealer breadth
- New starter induction including diary management and user set-up
- HR System management recording of all absenteeism
- New account set-up; Approval, refusal and system set up
- Customer reporting - availability, stock and sales
- Management of Sales Support team to ensure team and process efficiency
- Lead, motivate and drive Sales Support team to ensure sales team efficiency by informal coaching and motivational activities. Working directly with individuals of the team on all aspects of Sales operations. Coaching to take place at the sales desk using real-life/real-time, practical not theory driven. Daily team meetings etc.
- Providing operational excellence to exceed customers' expectations by reviewing and analysing internal systems
- Work with the Sales Manager to review and where appropriate, create and update internal sales performance benchmarks and best practice standards.
- Be able to delivery presentations to the team and senior management on the team's operational strategic approach and goals
- Be accountable for the reporting of the day to day operational activity for the sales team, reporting KPI's, campaigns, tracking performance etc.
- When required, manage special sales projects on behalf of the Sales Manager - e.g. input to the quarterly reviews
- Meet and exceed the agreed performance objectives.
- Work with HR to make sure policy and procedures are adhered to, implementing best practice.
- Responsible for hiring of new sales staff for the Sales Support team
- Delivery/overseeing of performance appraisals and disciplinary procedures
