Book Keeper / Part Qualified Accountant

My client, a leading luxury travel agency based in Central London, are looking to hire a Book Keeper / Part Qualified Accountant to manage all the accounting processes and financial reporting. As Book Keeper / Part Qualified Accountant you will report to the Director and have full responsibility for the overall finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing quarterly management accounts
  • Profit and loss / Balance sheets
  • Implementation of all finance procedures
  • Recording all transactions in appropriate accounts
  • Keeping track of multi-currency accounts across several companies
  • Quarterly VAT return
  • Processing and recording all payments to suppliers
  • checking and submitting figures/New starters/Leavers details for payroll
  • Handling bank reconciliations, sales and purchase ledger
  • Double entry bookkeeping
  • Staying on top of multiple bank accounts, in multiple currencies
  • Suggest more efficient working methods

The ideal candidate profile will be a well-rounded Book Keeper, ideally with previous experience within the travel / leisure industry. You must be comfortable with all of the above tasks as well as have excellent Excel skills to manually manage accounts. Experience of working with Xero would be desirable.
