I am currently hiring a Finance Manager reporting to the FD for a professional services company based in London. This company have amazing open plan offices with a great work/life balance. There is 20 people within the finance team and this person will need to have management experience.


Monthly Management Accounting

Timely production of monthly management information for main trading entity with the focus on operating expenses

  • Working Closely with ledger teams to resolve any queries
  • Analysis of monthly results vs budget, forecast and prior year
  • Balance sheet control, analysis and review identifying risks
  • Working closely with the financial accounting team to communicate results
  • Working with non-financially literate budget holders to provide high quality, accessible information.

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for all overhead departments

Staff Management

  • Manage a team of five individuals within the accounts payable and treasury function

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparing year-end audit information and liaising with auditors
  • Preparing the VAT return for the UK group
  • Continual monitoring and enhancement of procedures and reported information
  • Thorough knowledge of and compliance with Foster + Partners procedures and standards
  • Contribute and assist as required Essential Qualities and Skills required

The Candidate:

  • Fully qualified accountant - CIMA/ACCA/ACA
  • Experience in various ledgers, Purchase, Cash book and Sales Ledger including Reconciliations
  • Prior experience with people management
  • Advanced excel skills along with a good knowledge of financial systems
  • Methodical, accurate and able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Able to manage sensitive and confidential information
  • Excellent attitude to customer service
  • Flexible attitude
