247 Professional Health are looking to recruit full time passionate, flexible and motivated Young Peoples Support Workers to join a dynamic and expanding Children’s Charity within the Bolton area. Our successful client provides a unique range of services for children and young adults with special educational needs and disabilities.
As an effective team member, you will be working alongside children and young people with special educational needs, complex needs, autism and physical disabilities. You will be communicating and understanding their preferences and needs being able to adapt to each individuals requirements ensuring a person cantered approach. You will be encouraging individuals to enjoy a full and exciting life supporting them in a range of activities including developing and promoting their independence in daily living.
Working with children and young people with special education need and disabilities can be a challenging but rewarding job whatever the role; it’s a job that requires enthusiasm, dedication, energy, and a sense of humour. However, if you are committed to helping improve the lives of disabled children and young adults, your own life will be enriched from the satisfaction you get from seeing each individual make progress against adversity.
The role will involve working on full time rolling rota through a shift pattern with the salary starting at £14,975-£16,772. Previous experience of the same or a similar role is desirable although not essential as you will receive a full induction and ongoing learning and development opportunities, including Autism and learning disability specific approaches through our client.
