My client is an independent insurance broker who is recruiting for an experienced Account handler to join their existing team based in their office in Renfrewshire. In this role, you will be dealing with personal lines and SME commercial insurance clients. The purpose of the role is to maintain and service a book of existing and new business in line with the requirements of the client and support of the account executives.

The role requires the successful candidate to:

• Maintain existing business by providing a professional service to existing clients at all times by processing mid-term adjustments and renewals of their insurance
• Provide advice and information to Account Executives on matters of insurance marketing
• Develop new business through pro active sales, including cross selling
• Maintain records and handle paper work in a timely and accurate manner

Already established in the broking environment, you will have a good understanding of commercial and domestic insurance policies and risks. You will possess excellent communication and relationship building skills.
