Site Engineering Manager-Automation
We now have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our fast growing and highly successful team.
The Engineering Manager is the vocal point of the resident engineering team for the customer on all automation related topics. They provide a broad based electrical, mechanical, FM and software technical ability along with a right first time mentality and a proactive approach to identifying ways to improve the site's performance.
The correct candidate will be responsible for all engineering functions on site having up to 50 direct reports with a mixture of engineering and non-engineering.
Based on our customer sites, the Engineering Manager must represent the companies image at all times and ensure that a professional relationship with the client is developed and maintained.
Minimum ONC/HNC or Full B-Tech in an engineering discipline Strong organisational skills
At least 3 years' experience in an automated warehouse environment
Experience of managing a large team within a multi-site environment
Proven experience of working with and to quality and health & safety standards
Understanding of lean techniques and the ability to implement these techniques
Experience of transferring and knowledge sharing
Excellent communication skills and customer focus
Operationally focused with the ability to work in a time critical environment
Good working knowledge of MS Office package
Prepared to travel regularly in the UK an NEUR
