Payroll Administrator / Accounts Assistant Role
We are looking for someone with -
- experience in completing all aspects of payroll
- good organisational skills and who has a willing, pro-active approach
- the ability to thrive in a busy, time sensitive environment
- clean driving licence
Main tasks
- control and input all aspects of payroll routine on 2 monthly payrolls for 350 employees
- produce weekly reports for staffs pay ( payments to be made monthly)
- calculate variable payments ie casual employees, overtime and commission in line with current schemes
- reconcile all payroll records to ensure compliance with Government records
- complete payrolls in a timely fashion on set dates and ensure payments made to staff
- issue payslips / P45s / P60's etc - may involve travel to other locations
- complete all month end internal and HMRC reports as required
- liase with staff/ managers and outside authorities re queries / court orders etc
- balance payroll journals and post to nominal ledger
- scan and or verify Payroll / HR documents
- remain aware of all regulatory requirements and amendments by the Government affecting PAYE SSP, SMP, PPP and any other such payments that may be implemented.
- produce set statistical, financial and variance data on a regular basis and ad hoc reports as required
- maintain Accounts dept attendance and holiday records
- reconciliation of various balance sheet and profit & loss accounts
- produce monthly analysis schedules of nominated accounts
- assist with subsidiary ledger postings
- posting bank entries
- bank account reconciliations
- assist in completing year end schedules and analysis
- general accounts work as required by the Accountant
- assist in stock checks ( will require early start and /or late finish) average 6 times per year
- assist in stock checks ( may require early start and/or late finish) average 4 times per year undertake any additional tasks, responsibilities or assignments as requested by the Company

You must have good accounting and payroll knowledge. 
Working Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.30pm
