I am currently recruiting for a Legal Clerk to join the Real Estate team of a law firm based in Birmingham city centre.

The client is looking for someone who is passionate about Law and someone who wants to develop their career.

Duties include:
? Opening files on in house systems within timescales required. Scanning, copying and eFiling deeds, documents and communications.
? Using the Land Registry online portal to obtain and review copy entries and title plans, carrying out searches, processing post completion work such as the registration of leases, cancellation of leases and noting of easements.
? Stamp duty paperwork and submissions of SDLT within the 28 day deadline.
? Maintaining accurate records
? Keeping in constant contact with clients notifying progress of cases
? Finance – creating bill requests, finance forms and completing spreadsheets with financial information.
? Entering and updating data in spreadsheets for client reporting /updates.
? Portal management – scanning, uploading, downloading and eFiling of deeds and documents, correspondence and other communications via online portals, deal rooms or data rooms.
? Administration duties – including scanning of documents, correspondence, engrossing of documents and photocopying.

The ideal candidate:
? Strong team player who is willing to chip in
? Ideally be a law graduate or have a law diploma
? Experience in a legal firm would be ideal
? Must be able to work under pressure
? Ideally would be strong at mathematics/figures
? Great attention to detail
? Good IT skills

Salary: £15-16,000 per annum
