An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Unilever are currently looking for an Artwork Assistant Brand Manager at Unilever's prestigious Global HQ in Blackfriars, London. This is a full time temporary role for a period of 8 months, working a 36.25 hour week working Monday to Friday. The salary for this role is up to £36,876 per annum, pro rata.

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Global Project Leaders (GLP) in Smile Brand (Oral Care) to coordinate the global brand packaging requirements, within Global Brand Development (BD) Marketing function in Unilever.

This includes the following:
1.Ensure all design aspects are covered and locked prior to the rollout of artwork changes into markets, for our core health brand in the Oral Care Category. This role will collate information, relevant to implementation of packaging artwork, in the design phase of a project e.g. artwork design files, SKU lists, master text, sourcing units, language cluster, functional teams in markets, etc, to ensure global information is available for implementation in all markets prior to artwork creation stage.
2.This role will interface directly with the Lead APS in Artwork Excellence, to ensure that a clear, complete and final brief is achieved, so that artwork build can happen on time and in full within market clusters.
3.This role will also work with the Artwork Excellence APS Deploy Team teams to manage artwork project timelines, resolve or escalate to the BD GPL any in-market artwork issues ensuring that project timelines are kept on track.
4.The scope of this role, within Global Marketing, also has the responsibility for managing updates and changes to existing artworks where necessary (change of supplier, taking off the word 'NEW' after 6 months etc).

1.DESIGN PHASE (35% of the Assistant time)
*Work with the GPL, their Project Team and the Lead APS to scope, finalize and lock all information in the design phase needed to execute mechanical artwork build.
*Work with category planning and the relevant GPL to optimize the final number of SKUs and artworks, taking into account country clusters, multi-lingual packs and supply chain operational optimization.
*Brief category functions on the artwork changes and ensure that the teams are aligned on their inputs into the Artwork Project Brief as part of the pre-mechanical phase of the AW.
*Brief the hub based Artwork Excellence APS Deploy Teams for each project (along with the BD GPL).
*Where requested by BD for key markets, they will get involved in translations (with technical and project managers) with BB teams, who are responsible for this, to ensure that timings are met.

2.ROLL-OUT PHASE (50% of the Assistant time)
*Lead roll-out of AWs from the Global Master Toolbox for adaptation & deployment from the Marketing side.
*Liaise with creative design agencies on any design adaptation work that is needed.
*Supply required artwork to external agencies for the production of mock-up packs, point of sale designs, eCommerce, advertising and sampling packs.
*Supply a Design Phase and artwork production progress report for the GPL on a regular basis.

3.MAINTENANCE PHASE (15% of the Assistant time)
*Will escalate potential conflict impacting timing, quality or brand consistency to the GPL and/or Director.
*Check all design agency invoices for accuracy before agreeing payment.

*Experience of Artwork management
*Experience with graphic design background/ABM background
*Two to three years' experience in the area of 2D packaging graphic process and design, artwork adaptation, design or artwork management, package development, possibly print management or printing experience.
*IT literate: Outlook email, experience with artwork online approval tools, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
*Project management and strong proven organisational skills
*The role requires good planning and ability to keep projects to deadline. There are often several projects at different stages that need to be worked on at the same time.
*Ability to juggle between projects and implement prioritisation plans rapidly
