We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and experienced classroom practitioner to join our dedicated and successful department. We have recently been awarded Teaching School status which provides many exciting and rewarding career opportunities for Ashlawn School staff.
The Ashlawn English Department is a large, supportive and dynamic team. Young people make exceptional progress and attain outstanding outcomes in all of our many qualifications. Ashlawn's 2013 Ofsted report attested to English students making "outstanding progress" and that "attainment in English is consistently high." We passionately believe in innovation, high standards and supporting each other to become better teachers and leaders because this is the surest way to make a difference to the life chances for young people.
Ashlawn School has a large, thriving 6th form and the English department offers a range of five different A levels for these students, therefore a willingness to teach KS5 is desirable. The successful candidate will lead on an area of our English curriculum and will have the opportunity to coach and support colleagues in developing subject expertise and progress.

- Do you want to make a real difference to the lives of our students?
- Do you have what it takes to work with a determined leadership team and staff, which promote excellence, and consistently challenge you to improve?
