Package: £45,000-£55,000 basic + bonus + car + benefits

Location: Hertford

We are currently recruiting for a subsidiary of a major manufacturer of agricultural products which include; fertilisers, industrial, food and pharmaceutical products across the UK and Ireland.

Reporting to the UK Managing Director, you will be responsible for customer management, coordinating marketing activities, and creating and implementing new initiatives that further strengthen the company’s established market share across a range of products.

You will have proven commercial acumen, be an effective communicator and confident presenter. From an agricultural background, you will need a technically robust knowledge of crop nutrition. Holding FACTS qualification would be an advantage.

The remuneration will reflect your experience and include a company car, private health insurance and pension contribution.

Responsibilities include:

  • The sales and marketing of complete product portfolio in UK & Ireland
  • Support the development and implementation of a sales, marketing and distribution strategy
  • Promote and develop further market presence for products including market analysis, direct and indirect customer support and end user initiatives
  • Support the company with monthly, annual and mid-term planning in coordination with customer forecasting and supply-chain management
  • Develop, implement and track account specific plans in conjunction with the internal planning process as well as develop and track initiatives to drive sales and margin growth
  • Visit and liaise with customers and communicate sales prices based on contract and current market situation in line with the company’s targets
  • Identify report and develop new business opportunities and then sell in all new product offerings
  • Maintain internal data on customers through timely call-note submission and related customer data tracking - CRM system
  • Utilise and be proficient on all major MS based PC software
  • Help design and execute marketing plans developed in conjunction with the account plan to achieve company based goals
  • Coordinate and accompany customer visits to production sites and distribution terminals
  • Be recognised as the first point of contact regarding any regulatory, quality / quality management queries and possible complaints for all customers
  • Manage existing and build up new relationships / networks with all local market participants and gather market information and product movement within region
  • Represent the company at industry functions, associations and trade shows and build up relationship to all significant stakeholders
