Management Accountant

An established global media & publishing business based in West London is looking for a part-qualified progressive accountant to work in a busy team as a Management Accountant. This role would suit an active ACCA/CIMA studier. The role will be working very closely with the Head of Finance to support the wider business.

The Role:

As the Management Accountant you will be responsible for:-

  • Preparing monthly management accounts
  • Providing financial support and analysis to the wider business on an on-going basis
  • A number of balance sheet accounts
  • Being the main point of contact for finance business systems
  • Managing an efficient relationship between the UK business and the company's outsourced provider based in Asia
  • Management of the UK's shared service budget and forecasting cycle
  • Acting as an important team member in the rolling out of any system upgrades, making sure disruption across the business is kept to a minimum
  • Elements of business partnering with other units outside of finance, where appropriate

The Candidate Profile:

To be a successful Management Accountant the successful candidate will need to have a profile as per the below:-

  • Degree or AAT qualified
  • An ACCA or CIMA studier
  • Solid experience of working in a management accounting role
  • Ideally experience in a finance role in a publishing or media company
  • A high degree of computer literacy to include a good understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Good ability to work well and methodically in a demanding fast-paced environment
  • Team player with genuine enthusiasm to make a contribution to the company
  • Ready to take on more responsibility as job develops
  • Able to use initiative (and advice of others) to identify new solutions
  • Ability to manage own workload and prioritise effectively
  • Ability to work to and meet deadlines

Remuneration:

The successfully appointed Management Accountant will receive a competitive package including a basic salary up to £37,000 per annum depending on experience, and company benefits on top.
