HR Manager (stand alone) - £45000 to £500000 - City, London

My client is a financial services company based here in Central London. The selected candidate will be responsible for the set up and implementation of HR for the company. Reporting into the CEO this role will be a careful mix of operational and strategic HR and will be extremely hands on.

This UK based currently employ c.50 staff with Resourcing plans set to see that rise considerably. Depending on growth of the company in the future there will the opportunity to hire within HR as well.

The HR Manager will be responsible for:
* Managing recruitment and selection in accordance with best practice, ensuring that the agreed procedures are followed
* Reviewing, assessing and recommending the most economic method of delivering the company's HR requirements
* Providing guidance on employment relations issues
* Ensuring the effective and consistent implementation of HR policies and procedures that help support overall strategy
* Providing consistent, credible guidance and support to managers and staff across the company on all operational HR matters
* Designing and delivering career development & training programmes according to identified training needs
* Ad-hoc project work

The ideal candidate will have:
* Previous experience within a senior HR position
* A proven track record of HR within an SME environment * Previous HR experience in a stand-alone position (ideal)
* Previous experience working with trading/sales/front office client groups (ideal)
* Wide knowledge of employment law and its commercial application
* Full knowledge of a variety of HR processes and procedures
* Excellent Communication skills both written and verbal
