ACCOUNTANT | INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT | £55-60K + BONUS | ACA/ACCA/CIMA QUALIFIED (0-3 YRS' PQE) | PREVIOUS FINANCIAL SERVICES EXPERIENCE NECESSARY Our client is a leading Investment Manager, focusing primarily on Equities. They are seeking an Accountant to focus on the delivery of the accounting for the firm's sales commission, equity scheme accounting and managing the treasury operations. Candidates must have previous experience of commission/revenue/compensation accounting (e.g. from a Brokerage or Fund Manager background). Applicants must have a Financial Services background to be considered for this role. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Financial accounting Delivery of all financial accounting requirements including: * Ensuring appropriate accounting for and as far as possible, consistent treatment of Group remuneration schemes, together with any necessary on-costs * Liaising with HR, Group finance and tax team to ensure consistent and accurate treatment of all schemes * Management of all Sales Commission calculations (cash and equity) and payments * Ensuring all schemes are fully documented, working papers are prepared for each remuneration scheme and sales commissions Management accounting Support in the delivery of all management reporting requirements including: * Delivery of components of the monthly management report that relate to remuneration schemes and sales commissions * Providing accurate inputs into budgets and forecasts for remuneration schemes and sales commissions Finance and treasury operations Delivery of all treasury operations including: * Managing Accounts Payable function (including expense reimbursements and corporate cards) * Managing day to day banking relationships * Maintenance of bank accounts and associated authorities * Monitoring of seed investments * Provide assistance with capital planning in relation to settlement of remuneration scheme liabilities and sales commissions SKILLS * 5+ years' experience in the financial services industry, funds management experience preferable * Exposure to employee share plan management and accounting required * Working knowledge of IFRS financial reporting, * Working knowledge of accounting practices, preferably within the finance industry * Strong analytical skills * Good organisational and time management skills
