As Procurement Officer you will be responsible for monitoring current prices of goods and services, ensuring value for money is obtained and supporting the purchasing requirements of the College. You will ensure that financial procedures relating to procurement are promoted and complied with across College and that compliance with OJEU is in place where relevant. You will check and approve requisitions and invoices for certain goods and services. You will support all high value purchases, including the College's new build program.
With demonstrable knowledge of EU procurement procedures, you will possess a minimum level 4 CIPS qualification and Level 2 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent. Recent experience of working in a purchasing function/role and tendering, obtaining quotations and demonstrating value for money is essential.
