Our client, a major national bank, is recruiting for a Finance Business Services Assistant Manager, to join their accountancy team in North Bristol on a fixed term contract.

Client Details

Our client has a Finance Business Services (FBS) team of 40 employees, who provide a range of financial control and reconciliation activities in order to support the wider finance community. This is a fixed term contract until 31/12/2017.

Description

The duties included in the role of Finance Business Services Assistant Manager will include, but not be limited to;

* Assist in ensuring the integrity of financial data to improve the reporting process, facilitating the interfacing of data from primary source systems into the General Ledger at month end
* Review and preparation of financial reconciliations, including settlement and investigation of outstanding balances
* Participate in the management of SAP Masterdata, facilitating Masterdata changes and maintenance to facilitate assist management, regulatory and statutory reporting.
* Support the month end close process for the wider Finance community.
* Maintenance of a control framework to ensure adherence to relevant minimum standards
* SAP Journal preparation and review
* Supporting various migration activities and any required change initiatives

Profile

The successful candidate for the role of Finance Business Services Assistant Manager will demonstrate;

* Attention to detail
* Planning, organisation and prioritisation
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
* Likely to be a part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or have equivalent relevant experience
* Able to develop strong understanding of relevant financial systems and processes

Job Offer

In return, our client will offer a salary between £26,250 & £33,540, dependent on level of experience and qualification.
