Senior Care Assistant
Tunbridge Wells
Up to £19,000 per annum + excellent benefits

My client is a leading provider of domiciliary care in communities across the UK. As part of their continued success we now have a hugely rewarding opportunity for an experienced Senior Care Assistant to join the team in Tunbridge Wells.

Respect. Empathy. Understanding. They're at the heart of delivering care the right way. As a mentor and supervisor to our Personal Care Assistants, you'll be at the heart of keeping standards high. Thanks to my client's special brand of care, they're growing fast. Their commitment to investing in people means you will too, as you benefit from training through the Academy, and the opportunities that abound in a growing, successful company.

The role

It's important for my client to be rated as outstanding not just by the Care Quality Commission, but by every single one of their customers, too. You'll make it happen. From helping recruit the very best Personal Assistants, to working with Trainers to ensure they've got all the skills they need, you'll create tight-knit teams who care the right way. You'll also play a key role in compliance, making sure all risk assessments are carried out, clear care plans are set up and strictly adhered to, mentoring documents are kept up-to-date and regular quality checks are made. You'll also ensure that everyone - from customers to the team - is kept fully in the loop with all the information they need.

The skills you'll need

You're someone who's always asking - how could we do this better? Brilliant with people, you can inspire and develop a team, delivering crystal clear information that people understand and act on. As a mentor, you excel - not least because you act as a role model in all your dealings with customers and team members alike. You'll need plenty of experience of care work. (Ideally, you'll also be qualified and working towards NVQ/QCF level 3.) In addition, you need to be a driver - as you'll be performing regular visits to customers to do everything from quality checks to defining care plans. Finally, you'll also need good IT skills.
