Elevation Recruitment Group are recruiting on behalf of a well known service business in Sheffield for a temporary Credit Controller. As the business continues to grow, they are looking to recruit a temporary Credit Controller to assist their current team in a busy period. This assignment will initially be for a period of 4 months with a view for extension.

Within this role you will also be responsible for assisting in cash allocation across the business, posting of invoices to the system and any other tasks necessary to facilitate maintaining a clean and accurate sales ledger. The ideal candidate will be immediately available or available at short notice.

Credit Controller Duties & Responsibilities:

* Cash posting and allocation
* Provide support and information for bad debt provisions
* When applicable deal with the collection of retentions outstanding
* Liaise with clients/management regarding contract terms
* The use of appropriate credit control techniques to secure payment of all invoices detailed in the Debtor's Ledger
* Issue statements
* Maintenance of appropriate records to facilitate follow-up action when necessary
* Dealing with invoice queries from clients, referring these to sales/contracts as necessary and ensuring they are resolved
* Preparation of monthly cash forecasts
* Generation of monthly reports detailing problem accounts
* Posting invoices to the computer system
* Collection of retention ledger
* Raising Application for payments
* All other aspects of sales ledger housekeeping deemed necessary and ad-hoc duties

To be successful for this role you MUST have the following skills and experiences:

* 2 years credit control/sales ledger experience ideally in a manufacturing/ construction industry and in computerised accounting systems environment.
* High level of business acumen.
* Excellent inter-personal skills.
* First class planning & organisational skills.
* Good presentation, written and oral communication skills.
* Mature and customer focused attitude (able to handle difficult discussions and customer complaints).
