The majority of work will be client-data related and include additional data types including securities, including significant research and verification of data, use of multiple counterparty external data reference sources, significant internal communication and department support across data issues. Candidate will be expected to act as an expert contributor to business critical systems and process improvements, leading project streams of data programme initiatives, policy development and management.

To be considered for the role Client Data Management role you must have the following skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of client data management with a financial institution. Client/counterparty hierarchy understanding including LEI

  • Understanding of high quality organisation of data at legal entity / sub-legal entity level

  • Understanding of requirements around reference data from consumer systems

  • Experience of and ability to document high quality comprehensive procedures and policy

  • Understanding of regulatory requirements including Dodd Frank, EMIR, and compliance

  • Management of data quality and integrity, data governance methodology, standard taxonomies and metadata

  • Clear and articulate communicator, verbal and written.

  • Confident communicator with internal and external stakeholders at all levels

  • Excellent stakeholder and people management skills

  • High skill level of Excel ability, including pivots and lookups

  • High level of Word and Outlook experience

  • Logical, methodical, process approach to workflow

  • Excellent attention to detail around all work, especially written output

Additional skills and experience desirable:

  • High level of client/counterparty experience within financial institution. eg: knowledge and work experience on legal entity data, counterparty hierarchy, credit risk data management

  • Familiarity with Bankers Almanac, AVOX and data vendors - eg: Bloomberg, Lexis Nexis, D&B

  • Understanding of KYC/ALM controls and requirements

  • Knowledge of Operations processes within financial services (banking or broker), including settlements, confirmations, brokerage

  • Basic knowledge of financial instruments including swaps

  • Experience of PowerPoint and ability to produce communications and training presentations
