My client has an exciting opportunity for an established Head of Testing Services to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Head of Testing will be required to drive the growth of the team whilst improving quality and providing a rewarding and stimulating working environment.

Key Accountabilities
Accountable for defined client relationships managing at all levels all commercials and financial forecasting including contractual obligations.
Accountable for management of the testing team to ensure that all client testing and internal projects are planned, resourced and delivered to a high quality standard
Protects current and supports the growth of new revenue streams by evolving testing propositions to meet current and future market needs
Leads and supports the development of the testing team, acting as a role model and advocate of the company values
Delivers the Testing team business plan, achieving planned growth and profitability targets
Actively supports the winning of new business across existing and new accounts to grow the testing business, representing the testing proposition to clients
Identifies opportunities to sell in other offerings
Actively owns senior level client engagement with testing clients, undertaking high level reviews to ensure that all that all testing activity meets clients requirements
Acts as escalation point for Senior Test Managers and clients, to ensure appropriate expectations are set and met for any client situation
Achieve high levels of employee engagement through effective leadership and the creation of a workplace environment conducive to high performing teams and ensure high levels of retention
Supports the continuous development of the team to meet individual aspirations and future client requirements
Provides appropriate reporting to the Operating Board on performance against SLA, Resource, utilisation and financial reporting
Reviews and implements changes to the tools and processes to monitor and improve delivery of testing services
Set objectives for direct reports ensuring that those objectives contribute to the Company’s strategic objectives, measurement of objectives through monthly 1-2-1 meetings

Knowledge, Skills, Experience
Advanced ISTQB Testing Certification (or equivalent)
15+ years Testing Experience
Wide ranging knowledge of different test methodologies including Waterfall, V-Model and Agile
Wide ranging knowledge of both functional and non-functional testing approaches and tools
Foundation Skills:
Strong Commercial Acumen, budgeting and forecasting
Communication Skills
Decision Making
Coaching, development and mentoring
Project/Stakeholder Management

Proven history in effective team management within a testing oriented environment
Demonstrates ability to achieve results through others, to motivate, inspire and to coach individuals to reach their potential
Open management style that drives an inclusive environment
Wide ranging knowledge of retail systems, testing protocols and processes
Strong experience of software testing management and execution
Experience in handling business critical situations
Manages client relationships at a senior level at all times
Developing and agreeing test strategies with clients
Ability to lead and manage testing projects through to successful delivery
Strong understanding of the retail sector and retail systems including POS, Merchandising and Retail Finance.
Flexible to work on client sites
