English Teacher required
PK Education, a supply teaching agency based in Wakefield & Leeds, are recruiting an English teacher to join a Secondary school in Pontefract. Due to a gap in the department the school are looking for an English Teacher as soon as possible on a full time basis. Initially the role is for a term and a half but could extend depending on the person and funding. Tey would consider a QTS qualified teacher for part time if suitable.
The school is a large school in Pontefract with a good Ofsted rating. Then can offer an initial supply period on a part or full time basis leading to a possible permanent role for the right candidate. The intial period is from as soon as possible until the end of the academic year.
Applications from both NQT’s looking for newly qualified teacher jobs as well as more experienced teachers looking for a new teaching role will be accepted.
The school are ideally looking for someone who can teach English to A level. A strong background in previous roles of teaching English is desireable.
To be considered for the role you must have:
Recognised teaching qualification PGCE or equivalent (QTS).
Good classroom and behaviour management.
Extensive knowledge of the current curriculum.
Strong behaviour management skills.
Reference details will be requested prior to registration.
Current DBS registered with the DBS Update Service
