The Green Recruitment Company is currently working with a leading global environmental and energy consultancy. With over 1000 employees worldwide, they provide commercial and technical expertise to help their customers control their risks and make sustainable improvements to their businesses.

The Role
As a result of continued success in our client’s Energy business, they have a vacancy for a Energy Consultant (Building Management) with strong experience of conducting energy efficiency and related studies of commercial, and public sector facilities. The role is based out of their London or Manchester office depending on candidate’s requirements

Candidate Responsibilities
This role requires an experienced Energy Consultant, who is able to operate to a large part under their own initiative, with guidance where necessary. The candidate will responsible for a range of energy-related tasks including energy audits and surveys, feasibility studies, technical due diligence, energy management, monitoring and targeting, with elements of employee awareness and training.

Candidate Requirements
• Degree in an Engineering or other relevant subject, and ideally be a member of a relevant professional Institute (such as the EI, IChemE, IMechE, IEE, CIBSE, or similar). Members of the EI Register of Professional Energy Consultants are especially welcome.
• Experience in conducting on-site energy assessments, audits and surveys of industrial, commercial and public sector facilities.
• Evaluation of the performance and cost-effectiveness of energy efficiency technologies, for use in industrial, commercial and public sector facilities.
• Experience of low and zero carbon technologies and techniques including CHP and renewable energy technologies will be viewed as an advantage.
• Good IT skills with advanced experience in the spreadsheet methods for various types of analyses. Experience of the use of commercial energy M&T software packages an advantage.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
• Strong report writing skills relating to energy efficiency technologies, and the results of energy assessments.
• Good knowledge of current and future drivers for energy efficiency, including CRC, CCA, EU-ETS, EU EPBD, EU EED and Building Regulations would be advantageous
• Good presentation skills, and will be comfortable communicating findings at all levels.
• Experience in the development and delivery of energy awareness and technical training will be an advantage.
