The role

The overall purpose of the Legal Secretary is to provide comprehensive secretarial support to the Family Department.

You will ensure documents and correspondence are processed quickly and accurately, attend to clients both on the telephone and in person, ensure that the firm's file management procedures are accurately carried out, set up new files accurately and speedily on instructions from fee-earner, make travel arrangements or any other personal arrangements for fee-earners, make appointments, arrange meetings and maintain an up to date diary, ensure the confidentiality and security of all Practice and client's documentation and maintain time records of telephone calls, letters written and attendances on clients.

Your experience

To be considered for the Legal Secretary role, you will possess previous experience of working in a secretarial role, most ideally within a legal capacity (family department would be a distinct advantage). You will have good knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook for diary management, possess a fast and accurate typing ability plus have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
