Communication and Operations Support Co-ordinator - Guildford

£27,000 - £30,000

Job Description

This pivotal role will be responsible for the effective delivery of information and communications to all colleagues within the company by managing and delivering all business communications in an engaging and informative way.

A key area of focus for this role is to provide clear lines of informative communication and supporting business process between Head Office departments; so that all company locations/departments receive constructive and effective on-time communication that is accurate, clear and based on successful workload planning.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Liaison between Operations and other Head of Departments to ensure successful interdepartmental Communications and on-time delivery of wider business activity and process.
  • In particular, to work very closely with the Regional Directors and the Sales and Marketing Departments to ensure successful workload management and implementation of all Operational activity.
  • Responsible for working with the Facilities, Procurement and Finance Teams, managing the content of the internal communication system (Intranet) to ensure that all colleagues have accurate, consistent and up to date information.
  • Collating contributions from all departments across the business and managing production of the weekly Trading / Activity Updates; ensuring it is credible, informative, produced on time and to a high standard.
  • Liaising with wider business functions to ensure that all communications meet the needs and requirements of the business.
  • Supporting in drafting and launching and maintaining the Operations and Procedures Manual for the company.
  • Ensure that there is consistency in the communications produced and that they are to a high standard.
  • General communication administration support across the business.

Person / Experience Required

Essential competency:

  • Experience of working in an Internal Communications role
  • Competent in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint to at least an intermediate level.
  • Understanding and experience of delivering Service Excellence to internal and external customers.
  • Excellent communicator both written and oral, with a proven ability to create engaging and informative employee communications.
  • Ability to work under own supervision and make decisions within own area of responsibility.
  • Excellent organisation skills, with experience of managing and delivering against a varied workload
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders to communicate in an effective and consistent manner
  • A strong team player
  • A record of developing own skillset and knowledge.

Desirable competency:

  • Experience of managing and improving an intranet site to deliver relevant information to all employees.
