Area Sales Engineer

(Territory Negotiable)

£25,000 - £40,000 Basic Salary – O.T.E £15K-£20K, Company Vehicle, Laptop & Mobile Phone, Pension Scheme

Our client is the world's leader in multi-sensor measuring technology. Based in Derby they provide bespoke hardware and software solutions to an array of industries including Aerospace, Automotive, Medical and Petro Chemical. The successful candidate  will be required to travel to Derby on occasions.

Our clients products are professionally represented and supported to offer clients a best-in-class service, and to support their growth strategies they are seeking to employ an experienced Sales Engineer with a history of selling Co-ordinate Measuring Machines, Optical, Laser, Tactile or other Engineering solutions.

Applicants must be self-motivated and looking for a challenging, dynamic and rewarding career in measurement Solutions. Full product training is provided.

The Role:

- Account management to build empathy, rapport and communication with existing clients to identify and secure new business;
- Seek new business opportunities and revenue streams;
- Development and delivery of Internal and external machine demonstrations;
- Reconciling and integrating sales activity using Sales Force CRM;
- Handling RFQs, producing quotations and sales negotiations;
- Attending national trade shows, in-house exhibitions and other related activities;

The Candidate:

- Target – driven and self-motivated;
- Smart and professional in appearance;
- Friendly & approachable;
- Minimum of a HNC qualification in engineering or preferably a Metrology foundation degree.
- Able to work under pressure;
- Experience in selling Machine Tools with an understanding of Metrology
- Able to work independently;
- In possession of a full and clean driving license;
- Able to spend nights away as and when required;
