Job title: Project Finance Assistant - 6 month contract
Location: Bath (commutable from Bristol, Chippenham, Frome, Trowbridge, Melksham, Devizes, Swindon)
Salary: £23,000 to £25,000 plus benefits (pro rata for the contract period)

This award winning, progressive and expanding firm based in Central Bath has a requirement to recruit a Finance Assistant for a 6 month fixed term contract to start immediately. You will be part of an exciting forward thinking organisation and in an environment that is informal, yet focused on delivering excellence. Reporting into the Financial Controller the role of the Project Finance Assistant is to assist in the accurate transfer of project financials from the current way of working into a new project management system. This includes providing assistance to the FC in ensuring that projects are represented accurately in the finance system as the business transitions from one system to another, reconciling various data and correcting as required. The role will engage with the project managers within the business.

Daily duties may include:

* Answer questions and provide assistance to stakeholders and clients as needed on how to ready and migrate their projects
* Checking of forms submitted by project managers against the financial data we have on the system to ensure that the data supplied for input is an accurate representation of the project
* Working with project managers and migration team to ensure the projects are accurately represented
* Project related housekeeping tasks within the ERP finance system
* Various reconciliations
* Additional duties will include preparing journals for posting, assisting in analysis of overheads
* Support to other regional teams when required

Required Skills:

* Previous accounting /finance experience coupled with exposure to management accounts preparation
* Good computer and IT skills including Word and Excel
* Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload
* Good communication skills
* Experience of supporting a team of people as well as working on a one to one basis
* Ability to understand the nature of the work the team carries out, and interact with other team members in the delivery of their work
