Preqin Solutions is hiring a Financial Analyst/Associate in London. This position requires working primarily in product development of a cloud based Private Equity solution. If you're curious about software, passionate about financial modelling and have a logical and friendly approach to problem-solving, we'd love to hear from you.

This position will work with an energetic and intelligent team of developers and consultants in London and Argentina to continue developing our Private Equity monitoring and valuation web based platform. It requires familiarity with finance (e.g. financial statements and valuations) excellent Excel proficiency, and very good analytical skills. We are looking for curiosity, creativity and an interest in working at the intersection of Finance and Technology.

Objectives of the Position

The Financial Analyst will work with software developers, consultants, sales and senior management during the entire development cycle, from design to final testing and QA. Independent problem-solving, good communication, and Excel expertise are key to this role.

Core responsibilities:

  • Advanced financial modelling

  • Design and configuration in Excel of monitoring reports, valuation models, benchmarking analysis and what if scenarios for the Private Equity industry in Preqin Solutions system

  • Interaction with the software development team

  • Involvement in process-improvement projects in response to business needs, including contributing to development and implementation of new business processes and best practices

  • Ability to follow directions, but also be extremely creative and think independently

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Intermediate Excel and an interest in developing skills to a high standard

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Working knowledge of general financial/accounting concepts and financial modelling experience

  • Skills to communicate effectively internally and externally

  • Minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent (Accounting or Finance helpful but not required)

  • Preference for CFA (any level) or equivalent
