Assist Resourcing have been instructed to recruit for a market leading organization based on the outskirts of Liverpool. They are looking to recruit dynamic Learning and Innovation manager to lead the design and development of all training programme solutions within the company and the line management of staff members within the Learning and Innovation team. This is a senior management role which also involves working closely with external associates and learning specialists to deliver innovative high quality learning solutions to meet the needs of the logistics sector.

The purpose of the role is to provide overall leadership and innovation across all areas of organisation. To implement learning strategies and methodologies that translate relevant curriculums into effective and engaging learning experiences within the logistics sector to meet sector requirements. Develop inspiring learning solutions which reflects the company's commitment to quality education that helps all learners achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership in the creation of earning methodologies and technologies strategy

Work with relevant staff and associates to develop learning content to meet curriculum needs

Monitor competitor learning solutions to ensure the companies leading position.

Manage the creation and production of paper-based learning tools and other programme support materials

Manage the creation and production of virtual, mobile, and E-learning programme material

Ensure all materials comply with relevant copyright and IPR legislation and requirements.

Ensure that all learning solutions are tested and approved prior to implementation

Manage the day-to-day running of the learning content development technical and project management teams

Ensure that the business is operated to the highest standards in line with the Mission, Vision and Values.

Provide leadership to relevant project teams, ensuring projects are planned and implemented in line with project plans and timeliness and budgets.

Prepare, revise, manage, and submit reports, budgets and other documentation, extensively using management information and other systems as required. This will include:
•Programme development budget
•Business performance management & monitoring
•Presentation of quarterly business reporting to the Exec. team
•To ensure that budgets are maintained in a cost effective & accurate manner.

Compliance with statutory and legal requirements for Health and Safety, and ensure that all members of the team are aware of and working in accordance with these requirements.

Qualifications, Skills, Experience


Relevant learning and development qualification and/or experience: evidence of success and highly developed learning methodology skills and knowledge within a broad learning and development curriculum

Experience of managing budgets and resources

Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously

Working to deadlines and dealing with pressure situations

Proven track record in developing qualifications to meet learning needs

Client management skills that include management and communication at Executive level, delivery of board presentations and executive level papers, successful negotiation skills and client presentations

Proven track record of CPD in learning and development; maintain currency in own skills and knowledge; maintain own professional accreditations and regularly update CPD; attend appropriate conferences and exhibitions

Understanding of copyright and IPR legislation and requirements

Experience of implementation, at a strategic level, of business planning process and demonstrate the ability to undertake target setting for delivery of curriculum areas.

Ideally experience of the logistics sector, and relevant learning solutions

Salary £30,000 - £35,000
