This is a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to join our successful Paraplanning Company as a Paraplanner. KDML Consulting Ltd has been running since 2007 and currently has 11 Paraplanners, an office manager and 4 support staff. We provide Paraplanning resource for one of the UK's largest Wealth Management networks and are looking for at least one more experienced Paraplanner to join our team.
The role entails the Paraplanning of a combination of replacement business and new money, covering areas such as; Pensions, Investments, IHT Planning, Flexi-Access Drawdown and Capped Drawdown. You would be working alongside Financial Advisers and the role will include pro-actively collecting information, completing cost comparison calculations, completing calculations to comply with regulatory allowances (i.e. Lifetime Allowance, Annual Allowance and CGT) and preparing detailed technical reports on behalf of the Advisers.
The ideal candidate will; be highly organised, having the capability to plan and prioritise assignments in order to manage a pipeline of cases; have a good knowledge of the financial services industry; have experience of writing reports and be a good communicator both on a written and verbal basis. We are specifically looking for a candidate who has experience of Defined Benefit transfers. Attention to detail must be of the highest quality as Financial Advisers pay a premium to use our recognised and experienced Paraplanning company.
Due to the nature of this role, this position would suit a candidate who has already successfully achieved their Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning. Experience of working within a Paraplanning role would be preferable however, experience in a Business Monitoring and/or Compliance role may also provide you with the skills and attention to detail that is needed to become a successful Paraplanner.
This is a permanent, full time position and is a unique opportunity because our Paraplanners all work on a sub-contractor basis, are based from their own homes and, therefore, have a certain amount of flexibility in their working hours.
Remuneration is made upon completion of each unit of work, therefore, there is the opportunity to capitalise during busy periods such as tax year end and financial year end and potentially earn more than in a traditional employed role. Depending on the hours worked this role would typically provide a full time Paraplanner with earnings ranging from £30,000 p.a. to £45,000 p.a. Though to be earning at the upper end of this bracket would require commitment and a Paraplanner who is a fast worker, whilst at the same time maintaining excellent levels of quality.
During the initial training and probation period, you would need to work out of our office in Swindon, Wiltshire so that we can ensure your work is of the required quality. Once we are happy that you are achieving the appropriate standards, you would then work from your own home/office. The Initial training period is anticipated to be not more than 3 months.
