Legal/ Commercial Administrator

Working within a fast paced commercial team, you will report into the Commercial Director providing vital support to the team acting as gatekeeper and ensuring the smooth, efficient and successful operation of the Team.

The role:

  • Organise regular meetings, attending and taking minutes
  • Maintain Corporate Governance Waiver record
  • Assist with the preparation of notifications as a result of the Corporate Waiver record
  • Assist in preparation of reports
  • Manage allocation of IT hardware and software
  • Ensure IT requirements of the group are identified to IT Support
  • Organise business travel for the team
  • Filing and archiving
  • Manage and update appointment tracking system
  • Manage project related emails
  • Assist with preparation of contracts and corporate documentation
  • Manage document storage and retrieval systems
  • Organising couriers
  • Liaise with HR regarding arrival of new staff
  • Coordination of learning and development activities within the group

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience as either a Legal Secretary or working within an in-house legal team or solicitor’s practice
  • Experience of organising and minuting meetings
  • Excellent computer and IT skills including experience of using spreadsheets and databases
  • Experience of setting up and maintaining administrative procedures and quality management systems
  • Excellent communication skills and confident proactive character
  • Experience of supporting a team of people
  • A CiLEX qualification or similar legal qualification
