The UK’s leading provider of after-work social sports teams, adventure holidays and corporate events are set to rapidly expand in 2017 and as such, they are looking for a Business Development Manager to be responsible for driving business through the sports leagues and keeping all new venues at high capacity.

Thriving from new leads generated by the marketing team, re-engaging lapsed members and proactively sourcing new customers in both a B2B and B2C capacity, you will convert these leads efficiently and quickly.

Fuelled with a desire to fill brand new venues as well as maximising the capacity of current venues, you will always know where and when the demand is and prioritise your time accordingly. You will be such an integral part of the business and with that comes a need for someone who is proactive, outgoing and can come ready with a plan each week as to how you will gain high volumes of new customers for each upcoming venue.

This brand has grown from offering a few sports leagues in 2010 to today having a nationwide presence across 15 cities.

The office is in Fulham with a fun, casual-dress atmosphere and the team is full of young professionals who work hard, are successful, and have a brilliant office culture. They look for people with high levels of hunger and hustle in getting things done.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • To ensure all new venues are at minimum 70% capacity and kept to schedule
  • To understand and create the best, most efficient process for each area/sport for business development
  • To utilise a mix of online and offline marketing and sales techniques including over the phone, email and digital marketing
  • To contact lapsed members to re-engage them
  • To contact and convert registered but unpaid teams and individuals

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Vibrant personality and desire or ability to grow passion for sports
  • Exceptional telephone manner
  • Top end organisation and prioritisation skills
  • The ability to deal with complaints at all levels
  • To be hungry, be humble and hustle!
