An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Content/Digital Editor to join a world leading global organisation. Our client, Unilever, are currently looking for an Editor to work in the global headquarters, based at Unilever's prestigious facility in Blackfriars, London. This is a full time temporary role for a period of 12 months, working a 37.5 hour week. This role is paying between £51200-£57,600 pro rata, depending on experience.

As the marketing and communications landscape evolves, Unilever realises the need to evolve with it, to ensure new disciplines/platforms/technologies are introduced into the business. Unilever also realises the need to continually attract the best talent and partners to ensure it is able to achieve its "best-in-class" goal.

As present, Unilever is particularly focused on evolving from best-in-class Advertising to best-in-class Advertising and Content. This is the main driver behind the introduction of this new role.

Content & Unilever

Unilever has already defined what Content means to the business. Simply put, it is content that consumers are genuinely looking for. This is split into two areas:

1. Passions Content = consumers are looking to be entertained.
Think movies, TV programs, web series, merchandising etc.

2. Needs Content = consumers are looking to solve a problem or be inspired.
Think information/utility content - articles, blogs, vlogs, how-to videos, graphics, search copy, e-commerce product imagery etc.

This new role will be focused on 2 key areas:

1. Content: Developing and delivering "best-in-class" Needs Content
2. Advertising: Step up, develop and deliver Digital and Social Advertising

This new role will be focused on Unilever's new Global Network of in-house content studios - U-Studios. The Editor will be the day-2-day lead for their Category's U-Studio.

- Develop and deliver a Needs Content vision for their Category.
- Step up, develop and deliver better Digital & Social Advertising
- Manage their Category's U-Studio, ensure the highest quality Needs content and D&S advertising is produced.
- Manage Oliver, U-Studio's agency partner, on a day-to-day basis to deliver work to standard
- Be the leadership bridge between Brand Leaders/Teams and U-Studio.
- Act as a brand guardian to brands within their categories, understand their needs, and how to best service them.

Previous Experience

This person will likely have:

- A publishing and/or content creation background, ideally within digital/web-led content
- Genuine passion for and/or experience in personal care
- Experience working with global brands
- Worked in an agency environment servicing brands and marketing clients
- Experience making 'potentially' dull and utilitarian content interesting and engaging.

- This is a hands-on leadership/management role. The successful candidate must be able to showcase leadership, strategic thinking, and vision.
- The successful candidate must be flexible and adaptable, and capable of helping to shape the path & success of their U-Studio.
- While digital content is a focus, the U-Studio Editor should be comfortable/familiar with all types of creative services and formats.
- Above all else, the successful candidate must be solution-focused and thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
