Business Development Manager (Renewable Energy)

Reporting to the European Functional Director (Systems Sales), your mission as a Renewable Energy Business Development Manager will be to drive and support local Yokogawa sales teams by initiating, identifying, developing and defining pan-European business opportunities to build market position and increase sales. Your duties will include although not be limited to;

- Planning marketing activities, forecasting sales, plan in time, and reporting on progress
- Setting pricing strategy and defining sales channels
- Undertaking competitor analysis/comparisons, identifying addressable market size and Yokogawa market share
- Identifying new products, applications, solutions and/or services for existing and/or new markets
- Identifying customer needs
- Analysing and planning innovative sales strategies
- Presenting solutions to customers
- Carrying our regular contact with customers, affiliates and stakeholders
- Networking at exhibitions, congresses, seminars, and via social media
- Preparing technical and sales training material
- Providing sales support for key customers

To be considered for this Business Development Manager role, you'll have the following experience, qualifications, skills, knowledge and attributes;

- Experience in a similar role within the Renewable Energy industry
- Minimum bachelors qualification in any of the following subjects; Renewable Energy Systems, Automation and Control Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- Proven ability to increase market share through innovative selling strategy
- Understanding of ISO 9001 and Health and Safety at Work Act
- Develop a team atmosphere through hard work, calmness, tolerance and consistency to fulfil work projects with honesty and integrity.
- Confident communicator with a professional manner, and the ability to absorb and impart factual information to others and work within standard operating procedures
- A positive self-starter with drive to achieve results in a friendly manner, but at the same time maintain quality and standards
- Willing to learn and expand skills knowledge
- Full UK driving licence

In return;

Salary: £50,000 - £57,000, level dependent on experience.

Attractive Benefits: Company car, pension with company contribution up to 12.5% dependent upon criteria, private medical insurance and healthcare scheme, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays with increments based on length of service.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm, Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm. Flexibility will be required to meet customer and business needs.

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Field based visiting customers across the UK and Europe to support pan-European project opportunities. Attending meetings at the Yokogawa Runcorn office as required.
