We are seeking an experienced, talented and enthusiastic individual to join our young and exciting architectural design practice operating from a pleasant office situated in a rural location, close to Canterbury, Kent.

The role will primarily involve the production of drawings in AutoCAD, however, experience with all aspects of the design from concept through to completion are desired.

The role offers a great opportunity to join at a time of expansion with the initial focus likely to be on working drawing packages for private clients. Experience of working on private sector residential projects and a strong understanding of the UK Planning Rules and Building Regulations are all essential.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, be proficient in AutoCAD with experience in BIM/3D modelling also being advantageous. Experience of working on high-quality architectural design would also be desirable to support the diverse nature of the projects that we are involved with.

Applicants should be dependable; able to work accurately; adaptable and willing to work flexibly.

For the right candidate, home working would also be made available if desired.

Required experience/knowledge:
* Minimum HND/HNC in architectural technology/construction or equivalent qualification
* 3+ years post qualification experience
* Minimum 3 years AutoCAD experience
* Capable of preparing detailed design plans, layouts, elevations, cross-sections and other associated design documents
* Capable of completing measured/dimensional surveys of buildings and producing accurate 'as-existing' drawings
* In-depth knowledge of Building Regulations and current Planning Rules
* Technical detailing
* Have a working knowledge of H&S; CDM & Party Wall Legislation and the designers' responsibilities under each
* Competence in the use of Microsoft Office applications
* Right to work in the UK, with a strong command of written and spoken English
* Good communication skills for liaising with clients; local authorities and professional bodies
* Full clean driving licence and own car (or access to) essential

Beneficial experience/knowledge (although non-essential)
* BIM (Revit and 3D) conversant
* Graphic presentation skills
* Non-domestic experience
